Weight and Size - 0 views

You should add as much weigth as possible to make flpping harder. This will also give the robot more momentum. Also, a wider robot which is low to the ground is extrememly hard to overturn.

NXT Forklift - 6 views

this is a great idea because it is effective and we can use fishing line in place of the string. Our fork lift would have to be wider though.
  •
also shows how to make a bluetooth connection very doable to

  • Compound Gearing You can decrease the speed of your robot and increase the amount of force it can produce by using gears. There is a video on Compound Gears in the gallery. Link- Video on Compound Gears.

the robot designs on this page are possible for our criteria. the majority of them have a ramp like structure on the front for pushing and flipping

the ramp on the front seems to be the easiest way to win based on other designs ive seen.
  •
    this has some good ideas
  •
the terminator looks like a fun approach to this project

new take on the wedge design
  •
it might just push them off to the side which has some effect but it doesn't provide much offense
  •
we could invert the v so the point where the blades come together is where it would get caught.

Robot combat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 2 views

  •
Robot combat is a hobby/sport in which two or more custom-built machines use varied methods of destroying or disabling the other. As of today, in most cases these machines are remote-controlled vehicles rather than autonomous robots, although there are exceptions, particularly in the field of robot-sumo.
