BIS is supported by a wide range of partner organizations in delivering its strategic priorities. Our partners provide services, information and advice to the Department and directly to a wide range of people and organizations. We have nine executive agencies: Companies House, The Insolvency Service, the Intellectual Property Office, the Land Registry, the Met Office, the National Measurement Office, Ordnance Survey the Skills Funding Agency and the UK Space Agency.

BIS brings all of the levers of the economy together in one place. Our policy areas - from skills and higher education to innovation and science to business and trade - can all help to drive growth. The NetSquared Challenge Process was developed to mine, profile, and accelerate innovative projects using Web and mobile-based technologies focused on social change, locally and globally.
